What a debate! You know, we rarely spank around this house. (Safety type issues that we want them to remember--not angry or quick-tempered responses.) I am so glad that you posted this here though! Regardless of what one believes in regard to spanking I do not believe it is ever an appropriate response for a child on the spectrum! They don't connect the punishment with the crime when you're physically disciplining them. Thanks for the link on positive discipline approaches!!! Wow!!! What a debate!
