I have never gone out on Black Friday for shopping – I value my sleep and dislike large crowds. However, today I had reason to go out – LED Christmas lights were on sale at Home Depot! I didn’t bother waking up early, when I woke up I headed out. I did stop by Best Buy to see if anything gadget-y caught my eye – nothing big. I swung by Staples to pick up the new network-ready printer that we wanted and then made my way to Home Depot.
This past weekend, we cleaned out the garage and donated all of our Christmas lights to charity because last year, Dave and I decided we’d switch to LED this year. LED lights are definitely more energy-efficient but also longer-lasting *and* you can string many, many sets together safely. I picked up some traditional looking LED lights but I also purchased a few boxes of solar-powered LED holiday lights. Solar-powered! I was pumped. I’m in Arizona, if this isn’t the place to buy a solar-powered product then I don’t know what is hehe.
Silly husband says “You do know there is no sun at night?” Uh yeah, the lights come on at night but the solar power is stored throughout the day. LOL
After Home Depot I swung by Fresh & Easy to pick up a truck load of hormone-free, preservative-free, artificial color and flavor-free groceries. Yup, that’s my Black Friday.
