Ava Loves Her Guitar

Alex picked out the perfect birthday gift for Ava – a guitar. The story behind the purchase is so sweet, at least to me – but I’m mom so of course I think it is sweet.

Alex and I were heading out to pick out a gift and he asked Ava what she wanted and she replied “Barbie or Tinkerbell”. When we got in the car, he looked bummed and said “but I wanted to buy her a guitar.” I told him that I wasn’t sure we’d find a guitar for the $50 limit I’d given him.

So off we go to the toy store and the first section we went to was the instrument section. First he found a pink electric guitar, I gently guided him away from that and towards the acoustic guitars. No pink one. We rounded the corner and it was as if the heavens opened up and a light shined down upon us – there was a purple acoustic guitar with Tinkerbell on it…and it was priced at $49.99!

So he found the perfect gift for his sister. So now we either get to watch Ava dance around the house or stop and perform a song.
