Alex’s Hip Hop Teacher Tried out for ABDC

Alex takes hip hop at the studio where Ava does ballet and tap. His hip hop teacher is just an absolute gem and Alexander has gained an amazing amount of confidence in the past year. He used to be a bit timid but once I saw him march out onto that stage in December and “get down”, I knew that hip hop was the right ‘sport’ for him.

Yesterday, his dance teacher (James) and their crew (the Elektrolytes) auditioned for Season 4 of America’s Best Dance Crew (ABDC). We are big fans of both ABDC and So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD). We still don’t know if they made it onto the show but I did find an interview that they gave while waiting for the audition. James is the gentleman that is doing most of the talking and then Kyle (the young man to James’ right) has subbed for James a few times plus he taught the one-day hip hop workshop that Ava participated in last year. They’re both great with the kiddos so I had to share.
