Here it is, 8:30 am on a Sunday morning and I actually have time to sit down and blog for a few minutes. In about an hour we’re going to head off to the Arizona Science Center to catch the last part of the Legoland Junior Master Model Builder Competition. Both Alex and Ava love their Legos and so when my mom called to tell me about this event, I knew we had to work it in to our weekend.
Saturday was a busy day for us – Ava had her ballet class and then Alex had a guitar lesson. I had homework to do and an article to write plus we needed to do laundry so it left today for a trip. Last time we went to the Arizona Science Center, the kids and I met my sister and my nephews at the light rail stop and we took an eco-friendlier trip in to the Science Center. The kids loved riding on the light rail, almost as much as they loved going on rides at Disneyland. Today we are going to skip the light rail because it is raining but we’ll drive our recently recalled hybrid car instead.
The kids are super excited about this. Every day both of them play with their Legos. Alex also has a love of Bionicles but they still have their traditional Lego blocks to play with. I wonder if they will be selling any interesting Lego kits at the Science Center. If so, perhaps I should give the kids a budget now.
No real purpose to this post, just taking a few minutes to thinking about the fun day we have planned.
