Stumbled across your blog while trying to figure out how technorati works, weird the way the internet links things up.

I've got two girls (5yo and 7yo) who are both on the autism spectrum. Really enjoyed what I have seen of your blog. Look forward to reading more :)

Hello, I need some advice. One of my boys has HF Aspergers (I hate labels) and he went to his first dental visit today. Did better than expected, yay! Nice and patient dentist. Unfortunately he needs to have two front teeth extracted (my husband and I already knew that but hoped otherwise). I explained my son's diagnosis and she assured me that she has had children with Autism undergo dental procedures in a sort of a wrap... I'm against it. Looking into other options for him. Any advice or similar experiences?

Hi Tanya,

Thanks for your comment - I know that when I find blogs that share my circumstances I get excited...it helps to see how other people address things. You sound like you have your hands full momma!

Warmly,

Melissa

hi melissa,

great blog. I, too, have a 6 year old with SPD. It's been a challenge, especially before she was diagnosed, but reading blogs like yours helps. I've been thinking about getting a weighted blanket. Where did you get yours?

Thanks!

This is a great blog. I also have a child on the spectrum. Actually I have 2 children. One is 4 and diagnosed and one is only 18 months, no diagnosis or much indications yet. However, your blog is great. I always love to read about another person with similar experiences and how to handle them. They are truly one of a kind moments when dealing with special needs children. We too are in Phoenix Arizona. I don't know how you feel, but we are very impressed with the services in this state, and are grateful we live here. Keep up the good work, and I will be tuning in often
