My granddaughter started on singulair last year and was on it for about 6 months. She would also cry and weep and talk about not having friends and no one liking her. After my daughter read about the link she took her off the singulair. LIke your daughter her asthma is no worse and is controlled by the flovent. She started Kindergarten and still has bouts with sadness but not as greatly. I wonder if the after effects will last for a long time. SHe was such a happy child before the singulair. She is seeing a play therapist so hopefully that will help her with some of the alone type feelings.
